A total of 25 participants attended the training, including Suco Chiefs, Lia Nain, Aldeia Chiefs, youth representatives (male and female), community delegates, as well as suco administrative and financial officers.

Many participants highlighted land disputes as a major issue in Sabuli. Other discussions focused on concerns about public service delivery and the importance of good governance in public institutions. Participants also expressed the need for similar training for teachers in Metinaro due to recurring issues between teachers and students. Community leaders noted that this was the first time they had received training on human rights and good governance after their election, and they appreciated the opportunity to better understand PDHJ’s mandate and its role in promoting human rights and accountable governance.
