PDHJ Holds First Directors’ Council Meeting of 2026

Dili, 30 January 2026 – The Ombudsman for Human Rights and Justice, Virgílio da Silva Guterres “Lamukan,” led the first Directors’ Council Meeting (EKD) of 2026, bringing together PDHJ leadership, including heads and directors from the national office and territorial delegations in Baucau, Same, Maliana and Oé-Cusse. The meeting forms part of PDHJ’s regular coordination mechanism to review institutional performance, assess progress achieved, and identify areas requiring further improvement.

Key discussions focused on matters related to the temporary office arrangements, including contractual and regulatory aspects and the PDHJ Operational Plan for 2026. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Ombudsman for Good Governance, Rigoberto Monteiro, and the Deputy Ombudsman for Human Rights, Maria Marilia da Costa, and took place at PDHJ’s temporary office at the Excelsior Resort, Bebonuk, Dili.
