🚨 Ombudsman Welcomes Technical Team to Strengthen Human Rights in the National Complaints Service Plan!🚨

On February 7, 2025, the Ombudsman for Human Rights and Justice, Virgílio da Silva Guterres ‘Lamukan’, welcomed Dr. Ana Isabel Soares, representing the technical team working on the National Strategic Plan for the Complaints Service Center (CAR) 2025-2030. This collaboration aims to integrate human rights, governance principles, and legal safeguards into the CAR health strategy, ensuring that healthcare services uphold citizens’ rights, transparency, and accountability.

The Ministry of Health, in partnership with the World Bank and Catalpa International, is leading this important initiative to strengthen the health system. A dedicated team has been working closely with key stakeholders to align the strategy with:
National governance frameworks
Human rights principles
The health sector reform agenda

PDHJ’s involvement is crucial in ensuring that citizen complaints are handled fairly and that healthcare services operate with integrity and accountability.
